The Cloud Computing World Forum Africa took place this week (8 May 2012) in Sandton , Johannesburg and it had an amazing turnout and judging by the turnout it is quite clear that there is a lot of interest in cloud computing among SMEs and Enterprises in South Africa.

Zitera Engineers Take Top Prizes For Nokia Mobile Apps

Two engineers from Zitera, Alex Lucouw and Roeland van Nieuwkerk, recently entered a mobile application development evening school program that was hosted by the Joburg Centre for Software Engineering (JCSE) and Nokia South Africa. All applicants were tasked to come up with an idea for the next KILLER app and were then guided through the typical development cycle of a mobile application. Nokia provided C7 phones which the applicants used to test their apps on. Using the new Nokia QtQuick framework Alex and Roeland produced two impressive apps in a short space of time.

We are happy (and relieved) to announce that we have finally moved into our new offices. It is not far from our old offices, probably about 1 KM, and is a major upgrade for Zitera. Below is a quick snap of the office building, branding is still on it's way.
Customers and visitors have more parking right in front of the building and the building is right across the entrance of the office park, so you can't miss it!

As mentioned in a previous post we are currently working on an on-line product catalouge of all the products that Zitera has to offer. It is currently still in development but will be launching with in the next couple of weeks, so watch this space!

In February this year Zitera in partnership with ICM Group set out to track and monitor the transporting of the world's biggest transformer from Germany to South Africa.
